Discipline is painful.

Root of bitterness – “disbelief” and actions of disbelief
πόρνος pornos speaks of a sexually immoral person.
βέβηλος bebēlos speaks of a godless person.

The giving of the Law.
Mt. Sinai = Old Covenant of Law
Mt. Zion = the New Covenant of grace in Jesus Christ.
Galatians 4.
